On October 25, 2005, a humble man of mythic proportions, Jay Thomas changed the world (and Webster’s dictionary) when he coined the term "Bernankular" to honor new Fed Chairman, Ben Bernanke. Understand and follow the man behind the madness and help us as we make Greenspeak a thing of the past.

Jay on love and morality

Philosopher, friend, lover, fighter . . . guru.

Jay Thomas offered some words tonight to a young friend in need:

"Nah nah nah - you want to be in love. See that woman - I love that woman. Yeah - you, Moli Thomas. What are you looking at? Hush. I'm talking here. You go, get a man; he's got to be tall. Don't just give away your flower. You need to get a boyfriend. And marry him. Listen to me. Wait until you're married. shhh shhh shh you shush. (to said woman)."

But the road of the guru is often rocky as the naive refuse the words of the wise. The guru saw his words were of no avail . . . and left.

Jay Thomas - you were wise. At least about the whole tall men part.
